Imagine a network. The network consists of positions or points of view, definitions, possibilities for writing and various ways of storytelling. When I write, I navigate through these different perspectives frequently in response to other forms of art, sometimes gravitating toward fiction or poetry, sometimes toward theory or philosophy. On the few occasions I don’t write, I work with video, audio or photographs in a similar fashion; often, I suppose, to get a better feel for how we use narratives to comprehend or make sense of our lives.
