The next edition will take place on 4 & 5 May 2024. Are you a visual artist and would you like to register for the open studio days? You can sign up from January 8 until January 31 2024.

Why participate?

  • Atelier in beeld is the perfect moment to show your visual work to the general public.
  • Together with over 2000 other artists you can show the audience what’s going on in the world of visual arts in Flanders and Brussels.
  • You'll benefit from the nationwide promotional campaign (advertisements, press) that will be run in the build-up to the weekend.
  • We'll assist you with hints and tips to invite the public yourself. We'll provide you with printed promo material such as signposts, posters, invitation cards and digital promo material: invitations, e-flyers, facebook banners, instagram posts.
  • You'll receive an artist page on atelierinbeeld.be, where you can display your work. Visitors can find your studio by searching for a postcode, a technique or a name. Your studio will also appear on the map.
  • How you want to plan your Atelier in beeld is flexible: will you be open for one or two days? The choice is yours. Not all studios open for two days.
  • Do you want to give a demonstration? Or do you prefer to keep a low profile? It's all possible.
  • Participating in Atelier in beeld is free of charge.

What do you need to register?

Would you like to prepare for your registration already?
So great that you are excited to participate! From 8 January 2024, you can register via the form on this site. In order to process all registrations properly, it is not possible to register by phone or e-mail. But of course you can always reach us with questions about your registration. We will be happy to help you.

What do you need to enter?

  1. One photo of your workplace, and some photos of your work; you definitely need that to add to your profile page and give visitors a glimpse of your studio and work and make them curious to visit.
  2. Also indispensable: contact details of you and your studio. Because the public should obviously be able to find their way to your studio. And we will gladly send you tips, tricks & promotional material.
  3. On your profile page, you can introduce yourself and your work with a little text. So this is a good time to think about how you prefer to describe yourself and your visual work to a wider audience.
  4. Decide when you will open your studio. You can choose to participate for one or two days. You can participate on Saturday 4 and/or Sunday 5 May 2024, from 11am to 6pm each time.
  5. Do you work in a shared studio and like to participate with a group of artists? Then it is best to have one person responsible register the studio. Artists can then be added to the group studio. You should first decide together which days you can participate.
  6. It's also useful to go through the terms and conditions again. That way you can be sure that Atelier in Pictures will meet your expectations.

After submitting your application, we get to work. We will review all your details and check whether your profile page looks good. You will receive a response from us within three weeks of submission at the latest, and your registration will be complete.

Do you have any questions in the meantime? We're happy to help. Contact us at atelierinbeeld@kunstwerkt.be or 09/235 23 20 (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 9am-5pm).
