Looking for an outing in Meetjesland? KunstPlatform Evergem has mapped out a route along seven studios in and around Evergem.
KunstPlatform Evergem was founded in 2015 by a group of visual artists from Evergem. Their goal is to bring together art and culture enthusiasts from Evergem and the Meetjesland region. They organize activities that contribute to the artistic and cultural development and recognition of the area.
Marc Mestdagh is a board member with extensive experience in organizing art routes. Most recently, there was the TINTEN exhibition held at six locations in Evergem. Therefore, participating in Atelier in Beeld was a natural next step for him.
I discovered the artists from Evergem using the map, and then I asked everyone if they wanted to participate to give each other some extra visibility. Everyone was immediately enthusiastic.
The result is a delightful route through Meetjesland with stops at seven inspiring studios. With a convenient overview (which you can also download below), you can easily find your way to the artists in Evergem.
