Louise Degraeve (°1992) is a photographer and bookdesigner living and working in Ghent. In her artistic practise, she captures fractions of everyday life in which sensitivity prevails. In those humble moments she searches for stillness and honesty.
After photographing, she cuts out the essence of her images. This generates a play of looking, approaching, touching, suggesting and confusing. The viewer recognises personal memories in her visual language of postures and human actions. She invites one to step into this intimate world, a search for the fragility of relationships, propelled by the power of suggestion.
