Avin Kaki woont sinds 1998 in Gent en is afkomstig uit het Iraaks Kurdistan. Zij is geboren in 1979 in Kirkuk. Voor haar is schilderkunst als en droom die tot werkelijkheid komt op het doek om andere mensen gelukkig te maken.
